Corinthian Akeem Davis was born in Laurel, Mississippi, on December 25, 1989. He is the son of Robert and (the late) Karen Davis.
Hailing from the Queensburg section of Laurel, Akeem exceled at sports at an early age and quickly became the star of the community pee wee football league.
He later attended Laurel High School, where he was a stand-out on the field, the track, the court, and in the classroom. In 2007, he lead the team to a Mississippi state championship, under Coach Todd Breland.
After graduating at the top of his class at Laurel, Akeem played at Jones County Junior College. The following year, he accepted a scholarship to the University of Memphis, where he played CB for 3 seasons before moving to LB his senior year. Undrafted in 2013, Akeem continued to train and prepare for his dream of playing in the NFL.
In 2014, his journey was chronicled on the NFL Network's hit show, Undrafted. Later that year, he was signed by the Washington Redskins. Recognized for his hustle and humility, Akeem Da Dream quickly became a fan favorite during his rookie season, while developing a reputation for being an aggressive special teams player.
In 2015, he played with the Redskins throughout the pre-season and then spent time with the Saints, Buccaneers and Seahawks, before closing the regular season with the Indianapolis Colts.
In 2016, he opened camp with the Chiefs and closed the season with the Jaguars.
Off the field, Akeem married his hometown sweetheart, Sierra Davis, and in 2014, they welcomed their daughter, Carsyn to the Dream Team. In 2016, Sierra gave birth to Corinthian Akeem II.
The Davis family splits time between Laurel and Akeem's in-season NFL town.
